I've recently put Nailbombs in 2 of my guitars - one is a solid mahogany bodied, mahogany necked guitar with a maple top while the other has similar specs but is chambered for weight relief. The Nailbombs sound great in both guitars but also very different. The solid bodied guitar is a lot brighter, "harder" sounding and tighter than the chambered one which is warm, resonant and has a short but noticeable reverb tail after the playing is muted. With all else being equal, which of course it never is, would you say that these are the typical characteristics that you would associate with chambering?
